Winter Dining Room Decor | Christmas Farmhouse Decorate With Me

I know sometimes it seems like there just isn’t enough time to get creative in your home, especially when it comes to getting ready for the holidays. I have a quick, neutral, farmhouse tablescape with lots of Target finds. Check out the video below, to see an option with a pop of color at the end!

// step 1 - fresh start

The first thing I always do before a tablescape, is to clean the table off. I like the Method wood cleaner for my tables.

// step 2 - the supplies

I’ll link everything I mention in the images below. I found the gorgeous garland at Target. I also picked up some matching napkin rings, they are from the same Hearth and Hand Magnolia line.

Target also had some LED tree lights in various sizes. Those lights have just a touch of shimmer on them, but nothing crazy – no one likes glitter all over their dinner rolls.

The wood slice chargers are so heavy and gorgeous. They all have a slightly different pattern and I think will be perfect for adding that farmhouse look to the table. The chargers weren’t in the Christmas section, but near the table linen area of Target.

The gold candleholder was also from Target and I liked how it added some height, but wouldn’t block the view of those sitting across the table from each other.

I also grabbed a few fur scarves that I already had, so I could play around and add a little more warmth to the table, if needed. The red table runner and red candleholders were some items I used to try an option with a little extra pop of color on the table.

Now for the fun part. Getting those decorations down. I started by placing the wood chargers down, but realized the wood chargers against the wood table was too much brown. So, I added a white tablecloth to break up the brown woods.

I used the black fur scarf in the gold tray in the center and placed the candle holders and garland on top.

So, here is how the tablescape came out. It was really quick and easy to put together. But I wanted to try an option with a pop of red. See how I added some color to this neutral tablescape below.

All I did was add a red velour table runner for some richness and some red glass candleholders and you can see it made a big difference in the look of this tablescape. It definitely has a more traditional Christmas feel now with the red, green and gold.
