Shop Your Own Closet For Valentines Day Outfits

Think of your closet like an artists palette. You have all those colors and styles to work with. So, today we’re going to shop your own closet for 10 Valentines Day outfits. I’m going to use pretty basic items you may already have in your closet, so you don’t have to go buy something new for that special date night. I did a video posing in the outfits, if you want to check it out below!

I had a ton of fun putting these outfits together for you guys. We are going to start with casual outfits and work our way towards more dressy outfits.

Here is the first casual outfit. You can’t go wrong with a heart sweater and some red pants. You can find heart sweaters pretty much all over the place right now and they have a really carefree and fun feel. I added a black heel to make this one super cute outfit. You could throw on a cute purse and a scarf and you’re ready for a picnic or a visit to the museum.

Next, I’m going to show you several different ways to dress up a white base. I have some white jeans from the Loft. And then just a long sleeve white blouse. Some lacy white kitten heels and a pop of color finish off this easy look.

Here, I have the same white base layer, but added a long cardigan, some black boots and faux fur eternity scarf. Totally changed up the look to have a more cozy vibe.

And then a more chic version is to throw on a white blazer. You really can’t go wrong with black and white for pretty much any occasion. It is just so elegant.

Any pieces you have that are red and white will look super festive. Just adding a red peacoat to this white look has it cold weather Valentine’s Day ready.

Floral is such a romantic pattern for Valentine’s Day outfits. I have the same white base here with a floral kimono on top.

And if you like wearing black, you can definitely look elegant in black on Valentine’s Day. Black paired with a little floral print on it and a lacy cami under a blazer would be great for a nice dinner out.

If you don’t have a formal dress for a fancy dinner out, try shopping your closet for a couple dressy items and then tie them together to get the look of a dress with a wide belt. I had this black sequin skirt and a red, flowy, pleated blouse that paired together nicely with that wide gold belt. It almost looks like it could be a dress.

Here’s another sneaky dress example. Valentine’s Day is a great night to pull out that little off-the-shoulder blouse. This one is super fuzzy and has little gold flecks in it that make it festive. I paired this with a lacy skirt.

I have another all white look but this one is more formal. What makes this white dress look romantic is that it has a wedding day vibe. It is kind of hard to see, but there are lace details on the dress and shoes. You can’t go wrong with lace no Valentine’s Day!
